2002/2003 Season

Season Summary

The 2002/2003 season was a very successful one for our Under-age section – the Under 12 team won the Brian Fitzgerald trophy, the Under 16 team won the Munster final and the Under 20 team reached the All Ireland final before losing to Blackrock in the final. Juiors.

1st XV

The Junior team played in Division 3 of the Munster Junior League and finished in the lower half of the table.

U16

Our U16 team were team were West Munster and Munster League champions, defeating Ballincollig in the Munster final in Ballincollig by 10 – 8. Kevin Larkin scored the Newcastle West try, with Conor Whelan converting and adding a penalty. They were defeated by Malone from Belfast in the All Ireland semi final by 19 – 0.
